These ISO images are primarily intended for experimental use and testing.
Several modules (packages) are currently provided through the local override
directory (zlocal), located in /var/lib/lunar/moonbase. These modules are
mostly based on open pull requests on GitHub or local changes that may later
be submitted upstream via Github.
If you choose to keep a system installed from one of these images, please note
that modules in zlocal will not be updated automatically unless you remove or
replace them manually.
These images are not final release builds and may contain regressions
or unfinished changes.

This usr-merged ISO installer was generated on an usr-merged host system.
Once again the changes made by Ratler were taken, in additions to couple
open pull requests for the moonbase-core repository on Github.

This is a merged /usr effort designed by Ratler with small tests from me.

- cryptsetup: bump to 2.8.6
- gcc: patch 14.3.0 for the glibc >= 2.42 termio removal
- glibc: test 2.43 and move ldconfig to /usr for systemd 260
- kmod: move programs and libs to /usr
- linux: bump to 6.19.11
- openssl: bump to 3.6.2
- systemd: bump to 260
- util-linux: move programs to /usr

In this ISO installer, glibc 2.43 has been installed, as well as systemd 260.
==== 20260328 ====
The ISO installer named lunar-1.8.0-esselfe-20260328-x86_64.iso has iptables working.
Note that this was a new option introduced in the recent Linux kernel config,
called CONFIG_IP_NF_IPTABLES_LEGACY and CONFIG_IP6_NF_IPTABLES_LEGACY. When building
a new kernel with a previous config, those default to disabled, as well as
CONFIG_IP_NF_NAT and CONFIG_IP6_NF_NAT.
The CONFIG_EXPERT option has also been turned on, enabling couple other options in
doing so. It was mentioned lately that there were kernel config options missing
and thought enabling that submenu would help.
